Volunteering

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the club

Doncaster Hockey Club has thrived for 50 years due to the generosity of its members and volunteers. We are deeply appreciative of all our volunteers, whether doing big jobs or small. We need helpers is a whole host of different roles:

  • Coaches

  • Team Managers

  • Age-level coordinators

  • Umpires

  • Officials

  • Setting up and packing up events

  • BBQ-ing

  • Being a ball-kid at a Premier League game

  • Planning social events, sitting on a committee or the board, helping with communications, graphic design, staffing the kitchen for team dinners, maintenance, cleaning - you get the idea!

For our 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2024, some of our key areas of focus include sponsorship, fundraising, and creating a social calendar.

So next time you see a call-out for volunteers, come down and give it a go - you’ll benefit from the experience.

“Volunteers don’t get paid…not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless.”
