Team Manager Resources

Behind every good team…

… is an organized Team Manager. We are always on the lookout for volunteers to assist with Team Managing. It is not a big job - your primary tasks are to communicate with the team, ensure you have enough players each week, pay the umpires and enter the results. It’s a great way for parents to be involved with their children’s team, and requires no experience. Let us know if you’re interested!

Team Manager’s Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all players are registered, available and know where they are playing prior to each each round.

  2. If short of players work with the Coach or Section Chairperson to find replacements ASAP.

  3. Ensure team is organised on match day – they know what time to arrive, where the match is, are wearing the proper uniform (esp. when there is a clash) etc.

  4. Ensure you, the players and coaches are complying with DHC codes of behaviour.

  5. If necessary, move masks and protective equipment to the other end of the ground at half time.

  6. Manage the first aid kit, and any required first aid during the match.

  7. Complete match report sheets and get appropriate signatures from umpires and opposition immediately after match.

  8. Ensure umpires are paid after the game.

  9. Enter match results and team list into RevSport – must be done by 11.00 am after weekend match. Use username and passwords have already been provided.

  10. If necessary, collect masks and protective equipment after the game.

[Additional responsibilities in Senior Grades]:

  1. Organise players to fulfil published club bbq and umpire roster commitments.

  2. Assist with getting players registered on-line and collecting registration money and pass onto Rob Story (men’s treasurer) or Rod Snow.
