Hockey is back in the swing

Hockey matches from Friday 30 July

With Lockdown 5.0 slowly being lifted from 28 July, hockey matches will be back this coming weekend.  And this weekend’s matches will be the matches scheduled for the weekend commencing 30 July that were published when we came out of Lockdown 4.  For example, the Premier League teams were scheduled to play MCC at Doncaster on Saturday 31 July and those are exactly the matches that will be played this Saturday, 31 July.  Unfortunately, as was the case when we came out of Lockdown 4, supporters are not allowed inside the facility where the match is being played.

As this is the second Lockdown during the Winter Season, there will need to be some further rescheduling for the remainder of the season.  The following is Hockey Victoria's summary of those changes:

*Mens Open A-B miss both Rounds 10 and 11 as a 2 week finals series is already in place.
**Should the current Masters National Championships be cancelled or postponed these dates will be reviewed with the intent to add additional matches

HV have published an announcement regarding the re-start of the 2021 season on the HV website.
