The Men's section of the Doncaster Hockey Club is made up of 8 teams ranging from Premier League to Metro B that accommodate players of all skill levels and expectations.
The excellent junior development combined with support from senior players offers a supportive and inclusive environment. Excellent coaching, mentoring and administration is crucial to help grow and develop the club as a whole.
We have sides for all abilities and are proud of each and every one of our players. We welcome players returning to the sport or those having a go for the first time. There are opportunities to play or support and coach the teams. We have a strong coaching support for all sides we look forward to an inclusive and bright future.
What's been happening?
Congratulations to the following:
- Wayne McIndoe re-appointed Doncaster Men's Premier League Coach for 2019
- Josh Simmonds(2018) and Kiran Arunasalam (2017) selected in Australian Kookaburra Squad
- Kiran Arunasalam and Josh Simmonds played for 2016 Australian U21 team and won the Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia.
- Kiran Arunasalm and Josh Simmonds were selected in the Australian U21 Junior World Cup team in 2016.
- Chris Ciriello - played in the 2016 Rio Olympics!
- Kiran Arunasalam, Zac Meaden, Daniel McBride and Joshua Simmonds played in 2016 Victorian U21 team and won Gold
- Kiran Arunasalam, Joshua Simmonds, Chris Ciriello, and Russell Ford played in 2016 & 2017 Vic Viking team and won gold!
- Kiran Arunasalam selected in the 2016 men's Australian outdoor development squad
- Zac Meaden selected in the 2016, 2017 & 2019 Australian Indoor squad
- Zac Meadan selected in the 2017 U21 and Victorian senior Indoor team.
There is plenty of opportunity for aspiring Premier League and Premier League Reserves players in 2017.
