Long standing member of Doncaster Hockey Club, Arthur McCartney has passed away due to long term illness.  Our deepest sympathy go to Arthur’s family, may he rest in peace.

Arthur was Men’s Premier Team Manager for many years and managed a number of Victorian Veterans teams.  Arthur was also a member of the Pavilion Operations Committee for 10 years.

Both Arthur’s sons, Cameron and Malcolm played hockey at Doncaster, with Cameron playing Premier League goal keeper.

Arthur passed peacefully after a long illness at Austin Hospital, his family and close friends beside him.  Dearly loved father of Cameron and Malcolm, father-in-law of Anne and 'DP' (grandfather) of Ewan and Annabel.

A Celebration for the Life of Arthur McCartney will be held at Le Pine Chapel Box Hill, 1048 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill on FRIDAY (2nd November) at 2:30 pm.
