Summer Hockey Update-Nov 10

November 10, 2020 at 3:41 PM

As you are aware, the Premier announced some further easing of restrictions last Sunday, however none of them affect community sport, meaning only under 18’s are currently permitted to participate in contact sport.

We are hoping that adult contact sport (outdoor) will be allowed from 23 November, but we will need to wait until 22 November to have this confirmed.

In the meantime, small group COVIDsafe skills sessions will be made available and promoted through the mens, womens and mid-week ladies Facebook groups. Masters groups have been contacted by email and Junior programs are up and running. Refer to TeamApp for details.

Thank you to the senior volunteers who met last week to discuss and plan for summer program options and review survey #1 responses. It was decided to only proceed with social competitions when restrictions allow (no modified games).

In order to be prepare for the types of games to be delivered, we need some more specific details about your preferences including:

  • 5 vs 5 (1/4 field)
  • 11 v 11 (full field)
  • Single gender competition
  • Mixed competition
  • Preferred night
