Doncaster Hockey Club (DHC) is seeking applications for the soon to be vacated position of Operations Manager. 

Reporting to the club Executive, the position requires a high level of management and administration skills, as well as the ability to prioritise programs/ projects whilst maintaining organisational goals.

The preferred candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in recruitment and management of volunteers.

Appropriate sports management/administration/development qualifications and workplace experience would be an advantage. An extensive knowledge and experience in the sport of Hockey, as a player, coach or administrator with an appreciation and passion to maintain and foster DHC’s values, objectives and philosophies is desirable.


Whilst striving to connect, inspire and empower its members and stakeholders, the Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Club’s Executive to:

  • implement targeted strategic plan goals
  • lead/manage key personnel and volunteers
  • direct the policies and operations to ensure effective use of resources
  • increase club revenue to ensure sustainability and;
  • optimise the development and wellbeing of members of the club


The successful applicant will receive dedicated support from a well-resourced club determined to establish best practice in all areas. The position involves flexible and after-hours work with an average of 30hrs per week.
