DHC appoints a new Operations Manager

The Doncaster Hockey Club (DHC) Executive team is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Operations Manager, Jacqui Allen.

Jacqui will be commencing the role in January 2021, and will replace Andrea Snow who announced her retirement earlier this year.

Many of you will already know Jacqui with her current involvement in the club over the past 19 years across, Junior, Women and Masters sections.

Jacqui brings outstanding qualities and a breadth of experiences to this position, and has the passion and skill sets that will enable her to make a significant and valuable contribution to the club.

Jacqui’s experiences include:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement), Certificate 3 & 4 Fitness, First Aid, CPR, defib
  • Health and Fitness Consultant- corrective exercise specialist -10 years
  • Zone Coordinator-Hockey Victoria  
  • Co-founder and secretary of Ultimate Frisbee Club in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne-17 years
  • Steering committee for DHC wellbeing strategy
  • Steering committee DHC 2020-24 Strategic plan
  • Coordinator of the Doncaster Hockey Club Mid-Week Ladies hockey -5 years
  • Women’s Club Grade Selection Coordinator 3 years.
  • Junior coach- 8 years

Jacqui’s attributes and skill sets include:

  • management and administration skills
  • experience in growing a sports club
  • prioritising programs and projects, directing policies, and assisting committee in the fundamentals of running and managing a sports club
  • recruitment and management of volunteers.
  • highly organised person with a hard work ethic and integrity

 

The Operations Manager position's key roles is to support the Board to

  • implement targeted strategic plan goals
  • lead/recruit and manage key personnel and volunteers
  • direct the policies and operations to ensure effective use of resources
  • increase club revenue to ensure sustainability and;
  • optimise the development and wellbeing of members of the club
