Help yourself to help others

About 1 in 5 Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training will teach you practical skills to support someone with a mental health problem. Make a real difference to people in your community.

This course is designed to support friends, family members, team mates, colleagues and others.

This is an online only course with the following 2 components

Component 1: A self-paced eLearning component (5 - 7 hours online)

Component 2: An instructor-led component using video conferencing (2 sessions, each 2.5 hours, including set-up time).

Participants who attend all sessions in full will have the opportunity to sit an optional, short online test. Successful completion of this open book test will result in participants being accredited as a Mental Health First Aider. NB: This is an educational course, not a therapy or support group.
