Registration, Playing & Training

There are two distinct levels of hockey offered at Doncaster.

Minkey Hockey

This is an intra-club initiative for 5 to 9 year olds. This is designed for those too young to play competition hockey or would prefer to play this as an introduction prior to playing competition against other clubs. Minkey hockey will train on Monday afternoons at 5pm starting April 30th. The dates for Minkey Hockey is shown in red on the calendar (click here).

Junior Competition 

This is inter-club competition.

The age groups and days matches are played are:

• Under 9 – half ground (Saturday morning)
• Under 11 – full ground (Saturday morning)
• Under 13 – full ground (Friday night)
• Under 15 – full ground (Friday night)
• Under 17 - full ground (Friday night)

Important Dates for 2012 – all programs

Come and Try Day              -           Saturday 25^th February – 10.00am to 12.00 noon        

Registration Day                 -           Saturday 25th February 10.00am to 12.00 noon

Pre-Season Training           -     U15 Mixed & U17 Boys only -Week commencing 20th Feb 

                                            -     U9, 11, 13, mixed &  15girls & U17 girls-Week commencing 27^th Feb

Season training                   -           Week commencing 13^th March

Parent Information Session    -        Monday,Tuesday & Wednesday 26-28 March – 6.00pm

Early Bird Payment               -          End of early payment discount 30th March

Season start                         -          Friday 13th April (Under 13, 15 & 17)

                                           -           Saturday 14^h April (Under 9 & 11)

                                           -           Monday 30^th April (Minkey)

Junior State Championship trials- Doncaster encourages all interested U13,15 & 17 players to trial to represent the North East Metro red Devils teams.

U13 & U15 Trials will be conducted early May 2012.

U13 & U15 Junior State Championships  -        5-8 July 2012

U17 Junior State Championships             -        22-23 September 2012

 

Uniform

In 2012, Doncaster will release its new club uniform. Members will have a 2 year phase in period.

The club will have a uniform sale nights in March 26-29 2012 at the Doncaster Hockey Club proshop

The uniform sales accept EFTPOS, COD or cheque.

Under 9 players and Minkey players will wear a modified DHC shirt and any green shorts.
