DHC Junior Development

Doncaster Hockey Club is serious about maximising the development of junior hockey players and coaches. As such, the club has appointed a half time (~20 hr / week) professional Junior Coach and Player Development Officer – Victor Romagosa and an Assistant Junior Develoment Officer (~10hr / week) - Samantha Snow. Very few hockey clubs have such positions, so our junior players are very lucky.

Victor Romagosa

Victor Romagosa

Victor is a former Spanish National League player and coach of the Spain U18 Women’s team. He has coached the Victorian U18 Women's to gold in the 2010 National Championships and was assistant coach of the Women's U18 gold medal team in 2011 (which won 2011 Victorian Junior Team of the Year award at the annual Victorian Sport Awards) and Men's gold medal State U21 team in 2007. Victor was coach of Doncaster's WSL2 premiership side in 2007 and has coached the Doncaster WSL1 side for three years (2008-2010). He is currently the Victorian Vipers assistant coach (2011-12) in the Australian Hockey League.

Victor’s role is to run junior hockey programs within the club and feeder schools. He is also expected to run clinics and hockey camps for new players and elite juniors. Victor is also required to develop the skills of our junior coaches.

Sam Snow

Sam Snow

Samantha Snow is a current Doncaster women's SL1 player and fAustralian U21 and Victorian Vipers player in the 2011 Australian Hockey League.

Samantha's role is to assist Victor to run the junior program at Doncaster.
